Enzo Rodi is a brand name introduced by Roman Dietsche GmbH & Co. KG, a German company founded in 1873 to manufacture plumbing products. It later migrated into making housewares and became modestly famous in Europe for its brooms and brushes. Faced with growing competition from China, it had returned to making decorative plumbing fittings by the 1990s. In 2008 the company was purchased out of bankruptcy by IBP Global Trading, Ltd. (also known as IBP Group), an English corporation and was consolidated into Conex IPR Ltd., an IBP company trading as Conex-Bänninger that distributes pipe fittings.
In addition to Enzo Rodi, Dietsche owns the Bravat, RD, and Glamor brands, all lines of decorative fixtures, sanitary wares and accessories that are sold primarily in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
IBP began moving design and production to Zhuhai and Guangzhou, China immediately after acquiring Dietsche in 2008, closing the last of Dietsche's German factories in 2015. What remains of the eviscerated Dietsche in Germany is little more than its name. Even its original headquarters has been shuttered. Any remaining administrative functions are handled by Conex-Bänninger's German facility on Theodor-Heuss-Straße in Linden, Germany. Bravat faucets are now manufactured by Bravat (Guangzhou) Plumbing Industrial Co., Ltd..
In the U.S. and Canada the Enzo Rodi brand name is owned directly by Conex, bypassing Dietsche altogether, and Enzo Rodi products are sold by Bravat (China) GmbH, yet another IBP company, operating out of Kaiping City, China. Bravat-China does not have its own website or North American customer service and owns no facilities in the U.S. or Canada. It sells only through Amazon and eBay.
Enzo Rodi faucets are manufactured by Xiamen Weco Kitchen And Bath Industry Co., Ltd., a Chinese manufacturer that sells its own brand of Weco sanitary ware throughout Asia.
Enzo Rodi's faucets are neither designed expressly for nor unique to Enzo Rodi. They are out Weco's and routinely sold by Weco to other importers in the U.S. and Canada. For example the Enzo Rodi ERF2198246AP widespread lavatory faucet is in the Weco catalog as the 228-C CP lavatory faucet. Weco also manufactures private brand Faucets similar and even identical to those offered by Enzo Rodi may be available from these importers for about the same price, with a much better warranty, and supported by U.S.-based customer service.
In addition to faucets, Enzo Rodi sells other sanitary wares including sinks, shower components, tubs and accessories, all made in China.
Enzo Rodi's line of faucets well balanced among contemporary, traditional and transitional styles. Its finishes are limited: to the standards: bright chrome, brushed nickel and oil rubbed bronze. Not all faucets are available in all finishes.
The warranty offered on the faucet on Amazon is one year. There appears to be no warranty on the faucets sold through eBay other than a 30-day right to return. We cannot determine the terms of the Amazon warranty since it is not available for viewing on line and the faucets we examined did not include warranty paperwork.
There is no Enzo Rodi customer service except through the hosted sites on which the products are sold. Bravat-China does have a customer service telephone number (see above) for its higher-end Bravat faucets. Operators are, however, located in China, so keep in mind the time difference. We have not tried it for Enzo Rodi faucet problems, but it may be worth a call if you are having an issue with an Enzo Rodi product.
